Down into a glacier-smoothed
valley, through mixed conifer forest with some large
specimens. The unusual flower-bordered creeklet at the
western ends of the switchbacks will be a delight on the
climb back up, especially on warm days. The water is
delicious. Once to the
valley floor, the trail ambles up to the Upper Meadow, with
bouncy Soda Creek never far away. |
