MODERATE DAY HIKE 7.1 miles 900' elevation gain
best season: 0:35 drive entry pass required for hikers This is the lonesome and peaceful hike on Table Mountain. Lots of waterfalls and flowers, few people. At the trailhead you need to cross over the barbed wire fence and follow the Dept Fish and Wildlife's 4WD track up to the mesa. Wildflowers best late Feb-April. A smartphone (with backup battery), the Avenza app, and our Avenza map are highly recommended. This hike is in North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve; owned by the public, managed by California Department of Fish and Wildlife. No camping allowed. Maps (Nov 2022 version) |
