This loops up one side of Big Chico Creek, and down the other.  It is on the best quality trails in Upper Park

This hike is good even in summer as long as it is done in the morning.  Or, plan on going for dips in the creek along the way

The best wildflower displays in Bidwell Park are found along this hike, usually peaking in late March

The variety of micro-environments is hard to surpass.  Shady sycamores along the creek, bright sun over the Lovejoy basalt, oak woodland, etc.

This hike is in Bidwell Park; owned by the public, managed by City of Chico.  No camping allowed.
