This hike goes through oak woodland up to the top of a ridge, and gently down and down to Wilson Valley on Cache Creek.  Wilson Valley is in the heart of the Cache Creek Wilderness.  There is a peaceful campsite on the bank above the creek.  At night you may hear the splash of the beavers, the hooting of owls, and other wild and mysterious murmurings of the darkness.

Trail has clay mud when wet; let dry for 3 or more days after rain before doing this hike.
